inCheckin reserves the right to make changes to this Policy at any time, and will post any revised Policy on this page. You will know we have changed the Policy when you see a new updated date at the top of this Policy. inCheckin will not notify its App users of any such changes by e-mail or other personal contact. We encourage you to check the date of this Policy whenever you use this App so that you will know when you need to review the Policy for modifications.
III. INFORMATION COLLECTION
inCheckin may collect and store on your device any information you voluntarily submit through the App. Such information may include your user credentials and any personal information required for tourist checkins via eVisitor system (https://www.evisitor.hr/), as prescribed by the law of Republic of Croatia (http://narodne-novine.nn.hr/clanci/sluzbeni/2015_11_126_2395.html) (the "Law"). inCheckin may also collect passive information about your use of the App, including type and version of the operating system used. Users of the App (the "User", "you", or "your") must obtain informed consent from tourists prior to collecting their personal information and submitting them to the eVisitor system via the App. In the event of collecting personal information of minors, the User must obtain informed consent from the minor's parent or legal guardian. Tourist personal information will be stored only on the device and can be sent to the public eVisitor Web API (the "API") via encrypted https protocol for the purposes of registering tourist visits in the Republic of Croatia, as required by the Law.
IV. INFORMATION USE PRACTICES
inCheckin may use the personal information or other data collected, as described above, for such purposes as to allow communication with the API. inCheckin will in no other way store nor be able to access personal information stored on your device.
V. DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Depending on your use of the App, submitted information my be available to eVisitor system administrators and officials of the Republic of Croatia and its agencies, as prescribed by the Law. inCheckin may use third-party companies, agents, or contractors to perform service on our behalf. For example, inCheckin may partner with other companies to deliver the services of obtaining and analyzing personal information from personal documents, or otherwise assist inCheckin in better serving the App's users. During the course of providing inCheckin with these services, these third-parties may have access to your personal and non-personal information, as well as the collected personal information of tourists. These companies are not permitted to use the personal information except for the purpose of providing the services we request of them. inCheckin also reserves the right to disclose personal information when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to establish or exercise legal rights, or in situations involving potential threats to physical safety. In the event that inCheckin is acquired by or merged with a third party, we reserve the right, to sell or otherwise transfer any and all information we have collected from you as part of that transaction and such third party will assume the rights and obligations with respect to that information as described in this Policy.
VI. THIRD-PARTY LINKS
The App may contain links to the websites or other web services not owned nor controlled by inCheckin. We do not necessarily review or endorse the content of these linked web sites or web services. You should review the terms of service and privacy policies of all external services.
We use commercially reasonable efforts to protect the information we collect in the App. Unfortunately, no security system can be guaranteed to be 100% effective. Accordingly, we cannot absolutely guarantee the security of your or your tourists' personal information and cannot assume liability for improper access to it. You are responsible for restricting access to your device through which you access the App. Users of public, shared or unprotected mobile devices should log out at the completion of each use of the App. By using the App, or providing personal information to us through any means, you agree that we can communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy, and administrative issues relating to your use of this App.
VIII. DATA RETENTION AND ACCOUNT TERMINATION
inCheckin uses your eVisitor account for delivering the services. Your account information is stored exclusively on the device on which you are using the App, and is used solely for secure communcation with the API. If you terminate your eVisitor user account via external services, you are also required to uninstall the App or otherwise remove the account information on all affected devices.
IX. VIEWING AND UPDATING INFORMATION
You are responsible for updating and maintaining the accuracy of your personal information that you provide to or through the App. If you would like to update your eVisitor information or believe you have submitted inaccurate information through the App, and would like to change such information, please refer to the eVisitor system to do so.
